Washburn’s Windy Hill Orchard is the perfect apple orchard field trip destination! A trip to the orchard provides an enriching and memorable activity where they will have the chance to connect with nature, learn about agriculture, visit the farm animals, and create lasting memories.

Apple picking field trips are generally available from the second week of September through the second week of October.

Below is a list of our field trip packages. The minimum group size is listed below in the descriptions. There is no charge for teachers or chaperones.

Engage your students' problem-solving skills by including a corn maze activity during your field trip. They will have a blast navigating through our 5 acre corn maze while working collaboratively and overcoming challenges. We recommend large groups break up into chaperone groups of 5-6 students, and enter the maze in a minimum of 5 minute intervals between groups.

For more information about our corn maze, visit our corn maze page.

Treat your students to a delicious snack break during their visit. They will enjoy a serving of cold apple cider in a souvenir apple sippy cup and one of our original cider donuts!

The students can pull a wagon into our pumpkin field in search of the perfect pumpkin! This is a great activity for students to collaborate and work together to determine which pumpkin is the ideal pick for the class!
